Statistics page

Today we completed a nice little, well not little actually, script for the website, as an addition for EPT 4. We have created a statistics page, which can be found here Statistics. On your right you can find the link "View more statistics", in the "Latest items" and "Latest forum messages" boxes.

Why adding it? Well we have something similiar in the Administration panel we use ourselfs and this looked like a nice addition. Of course all information gathered by you visiting our website is saved and treated anonymously.
What can you find here? To sum up the boxes: Latest comments, Latest items, Populair pages, Populair items, Latest members, Most active members, Most active days and Activity per day.

Headers a.k.a. h1 to h6

We have completed something we looked at for a while now. We changed the head of each "box" from a div to a "header". We reserved the h1 to do this, but now finally put it online. Hopefully this will give page rankers our pages a little better idea about our site.

EPT4.0.1 and Newanz 2.0.1 released

On August 25 and 26 we did a lot of work on the EPT 4 system. Repaired most bugs, updated the layout and made some changes to some sub websites of Newanz.

Read more about the changes of EPT 4.
Read more about the changes of Newanz 2.0.1.

Alright alright we admit it took more time than was really needed, but hey we got holidays too right? We hope you didn't had too much troubles with the bugs that existed and do report them if you see any other ones in the website.

So what else is on the agenda?
- .Nzr, is almost done and is beeing integrated into the last (un)stable version of NewsOffice to give it a little speed boost, version 1.2 RC1 is a little slow.
- Update for the NewsOffice subsite. Can't tell much about that.
- Release of Evelien van Benthem.nl hopefully soon.

That's it for now. Thank you for reading,

Newanz

.Nzr 1.0 Draft

.Nzr 1.0 Draft

Aug 26th, 2008 at 11:58:48

Some good news on the .Nzr project. We have just completed the 1.0 Beta Draft. The draft file can be found on the project page of .Nzr. This will be the basis of the new .Nzr reader. Hopefully we can release it with a new NewsOffice version. The advantages of using .Nzr are surely noticeable.

When implementing it in a NewsOffice Black Edition the speed increase is something to think about for a full implementation. So that's what we are going to do. Hopefully the new version of NewsOffice will have full .Nzr implementation.

We will keep you updated on progress and release changes in the draft files.

Thank you for reading,

Tom de Bruijn
