Egh...Egh...Mar 29th, 2010 at 20:09:25
Things are not going smoothly for work and school... Why you ask? Well school, because its school. Work, because every time I want to do something I get pulled back again by not working scripts, servers or annoying Internet connections. Still I'm putting way too much time into these things which means I hardly got some work done for Nyes.
However!
Before last weekend began I found some time to build the first set up of the user manager and I must say: it's looking pretty good. So when that's done (only need to finish editors for users and groups) I can work on dialog integration into other functionalities which allows me to finish some other things that were waiting on this ability.
My contract ends somewhere in April which hopefully means I can put more effort in this project that the few hours I can now.

So a few weeks ago I finally send in the pen of my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet. (It only took me 2 1/2 months to do so.) I've been handling all computer related things with the horror that is called a mouse.
Now that I finally have a replacement pen I can get back to the wonders of using a tablet.
However, the next time it breaks I'll sure to buy a complete new one instead of using the warranty. Why? The new touch features Wacom has put in its later versions are just too damn useful. The one thing that bugs me now using a tablet is picking up the pen to use it. So when I only need to do one click or something picking up the pen seems a bit too big of a deal
Actual updates
Nyes sitemap work, will be splitting up the page model soon, need to start building the user manager, etc, etc. I think the framework (the actual "Nyes" part) is really starting to mature. It's stable and secure enough to handle an application as NewsOffice. No, I'm not saying I'll start working on a new version with this soon, but there is the possibility of me using Nyes for it.
