New photoshop tutorial: Shaperz

Welcome again to Newanz,

It's uncommon that we are back so soon after a news post, but we got some good news.
We have made some updates on the Photoshop section

New tutorial

We have just completed writing our latest photoshop tutorial, it's about how to make your own Gallery - Shaperz Serie or Gallery - Shaperz 2 Serie.

Creating shaped based wallpapers / images
Create great looking wallpapers and images using abstract shapes.

We have added it to two tutorial database websites: Pixel2Life and Good-Tutorials.com. Most of the time if it get's added there the rest of the sites automaticly follow, how curious
Now of course we hope to get more visits this way, that is if they get added. Which of course we really really want!
Also we added the result of the tutorial, a nice Shaperz 2 - Gallery, to the collection in our portfolio.

Now what's new on the tutorial is that we added two new scripts. You already had time to look at the great
Lightbox 2 script that we use in our portfolio, this is now also used in this tutorial!

Newanz Plus

A new logo has been created! A small variation to the default logo of Newanz which we rarely use now a days, but it still can be viewed in the portfolio under Newanz Plus » Logo's. Yeah well other than some small bug fixes we have nothing else to report.

Yeah, go figure, it's the 30st now just 2 days to go

What did we do this week?

A new image for our portfolio in the Gallery Shaperz 2 Serie, called "Human After All".
Another image has been added to our Shaperz 2 Serie, it's called "Discovery", it's more ment for a female public, but just as well for the males New banner images - Banners - with a form to let it fit your website.

Well we haven't done anything on NewsOffice, that's done for now, although we have been making a new list for a possible new version. The lists is getting bigger and bigger now, but when it's enough we will create a new version.

The rest of the week we have been working on Shore, that is making good progress. We are now working on a secure user system and we have written down all the features. We have succesfully made the file manager and editor. Still a lot of work to do, so it won't be done any time soon.

Update 01/04/2008
We made a little mistake in NewsOffice, so we have made a buglist in the Changelog. This is just a small one and we hope to find no others, but just in case, use the Contact form.

NewsOffice 1.1 release and others updates

NewsOffice 1.1

Today we released NewsOffice version 1.1. It's done, it's working properly and avaliable for download.
You can download two types of packages for you to use. One is the main package, containing the total installation of NewsOffice, ment for new installations.
The second one is for you when you already have a NewsOffice installation and you want to update it to the latest version.

It's released within the month of releasing the first version, that is okay. We didn't made a bad version at first, this is just a better version with more functions.
Go to the NewsOffice website, for downloads and more information (we added a changelog for anyone who is interested).

What's Shore

Shore is the latest application in development, it will be a PHP/FTP/MySQL based application ment to let you manage your entire website through an ftp connection. Just like you would login to your ftp connection using a ftp client only online. It will be free, don't be afraid of that, we are not that's far that we can ask for a payment on these things. More updates? Oh yes!

Of course we were the first to update our news manager, NewsOffice, to version 1.1. We hope it will help .
We updated the right hand "navigation", it contains an promotional highlight, in combination with our logo change, thanks to Newanz Plus.What else? Well an portfolio update again. We added our latest wallpaper series, Shaperz 2 to the Gallery, it's not complete yet, but we will update it every once in a while. The rest of our updates exists mostly from minor changes to the layout and increased code performance. Also an "403: No authorization" page is now added, to show something more besides our "404: Page not found" page.
