Today we released NewsOffice Version 0.9 Beta.

You can freely download NewsOffice from the NewsOffice page. On that page you will get an explanation about the features and requirement in order to install it. It's a news management application without the use of a database, like MySql.

Other updates

• SiteDev, as we worked a weekend straight to finnish NewsOffice, without the help of Lydic, we were not able to release a beta of SiteDev. Also we came across some problems which we should fix first in stead of releasing a very unstable beta of SiteDev.
• SitePromo, We updated the SitePromo in order to show the latest releases, like NewsOffice.
• With NewsOffice done, we are going to look into ways to implement it into the main website and our current Administration Panel. When this is completed, we will update you on that.

That's that for this time. We hope you will like NewsOffice and give some feedback on the forums.
We will get back with more updates about SiteDev and other projects which we are working on.

Update 29-01-2008

The NewsOffice 0.9 Beta is already been tested by various users, the reports they send to us gave us detailed information about what should be improved and already development to version 1.0 Final is under way. We hope to release this in february.

When this is done we are going to look into way to implement this into the Newanz Website.

This last week there have been some small updates to the site, with this post will will keep you updated. We wish we could have updated more but it has been a busy time with some projects that are currently still running.

Latest work of Newanz

• SiteDev, finally some progres in the long waited ProDSys. SiteDev, which stands for Site Development, is the succesor of ProDSys, Product Development System. Except for the name SiteDev is completely different from ProDSys, it is still the next version of it but we have made some much changes you can hardly see ProDSys. Now SiteDev is not yet ready for download, but only 2 real importand scripts needs to be completed. The security and the ability to delete entire, filled, folders. SiteDev will be eventually used to support the Newanz Website.We hope to release SiteDev beginning of february
• NewsOffice, this application has some mayor delays. We said we would release it in the beginning of 2008, but due some issues with the LYDIC side of the applicaton scripts we are experiancing delays. We really hate to delay this application especially since we can not post our news now through forms, only through a direct ftp connection, this causes for some problems when posting news. We are trying to release NewsOffice standalone half way in febuary.
• SiteDev plugin: NewsOffice, we are now focusing on SiteDev, when this is done we will have an option open to install NewsOffice as a plugin. This system is still under development and is probably not going to be released when SiteDev Beta is coming out.
• SitePromo links, On your right you can see the SitePromo links that we are able to display thanks to EPT2, see previous news. The layout is not perfect, but we will finish that later on.

More news about all these subjects later this month, we will try and finish one or two of these subjects first.

Update at 18-01-2008

• Portfolio index, the portfolio has been updated, another album named Newanz is created. Here we will store all our logo's and other images made for Newanz.
• More portfolio, another request has been added. It's the signature of DarkWizard from the carnage alliance forums.

Every Page Technology 2

Update from 08-01-2008

Yesterday we updated our Every Page Technology System to version 2. This took around 15 minutes at 9 PM local time (GMT+1). We did not made any catch pages so if you have visited this site in those 15 minutes you might have gotten some php related errors.

The whole process was succesfully finished and we are very happy about the result.

What's new?

- The navigation on the left side of the screen has now a mouseover effect and the whole object is now a link in stead of only the text.
- The meta content tag is now filled automaticly by including the website content before anything else, this is better for the search engines.
- Including the website content very early in the page loading process allows us to do more. Now the location bar (under the logo) has more indept descriptions and works with the tutoral/template/project systems.
- The rest of the new features is mostly Administration capability's although, and this was expected, the Administration Panel we use is no longer accesible so that's top priority now.

Some things that are not done
- The Forum layout is back to the default layout, we will have to change some features to get the Newanz layout back. This is high on our to-do list.
- The administration system
- NewsOffice implementation
- We haven't had any time to implement the SitePromo website resources, but this will be done this week or next week. When completed, this will be seen in the right side of the content, there the latest releases will be shown.

Now EPT2 is released we can do more for the website and we will update the site frequently so keep in touch!
