Update from 08-01-2008
Yesterday we updated our Every Page Technology System to version 2. This took around 15 minutes at 9 PM local time (GMT+1). We did not made any catch pages so if you have visited this site in those 15 minutes you might have gotten some php related errors.The whole process was succesfully finished and we are very happy about the result.
What's new?
- The navigation on the left side of the screen has now a mouseover effect and the whole object is now a link in stead of only the text.- The meta content tag is now filled automaticly by including the website content before anything else, this is better for the search engines.
- Including the website content very early in the page loading process allows us to do more. Now the location bar (under the logo) has more indept descriptions and works with the tutoral/template/project systems.
- The rest of the new features is mostly Administration capability's although, and this was expected, the Administration Panel we use is no longer accesible so that's top priority now.
Some things that are not done
- The Forum layout is back to the default layout, we will have to change some features to get the Newanz layout back. This is high on our to-do list.
- The administration system
- NewsOffice implementation
- We haven't had any time to implement the SitePromo website resources, but this will be done this week or next week. When completed, this will be seen in the right side of the content, there the latest releases will be shown.
Now EPT2 is released we can do more for the website and we will update the site frequently so keep in touch!
