Description
In project Whirlwind Tom de Bruijn worked on a new website and company idea. I worked on it and over six months it became more and more complete.

Content

While working on my previous website, Uturn-Zone.nl, I got bored of the same old things and the un-orginized structure. Since I did not knew any dynamic web languages I did all pages on my website in pure XHTML1.0. First thing I knew there I would never use XHTML again. I used frames to include the navigation and copyright on each page, but I still had to make the whole page over again each time I made a new page. I got sick of this and making one change could take a lot of time.

While I did my internship at AXA Nederland I learned a new language, PHP. I experimented and soon enough I made entire webpage in PHP. In the back of my mind I made a mental note I should remember all I learned there for my new website. Finally when I had enough knowledge of PHP and had put up a good website structure I began programming. I still did not had a name for my new website and began thinking a lot, nothing came to mind and I let it rest. One thing was for sure, I would not use Uturn-Zone.nl again.

With PHP knowledge in my head I began working on scripts that would pretty much make my work and visitors navigiation a lot easier. Of course I also made a lot of other scripts, but most of them are not visible for normal visitors.
After a month or two I had a good basis for the website and had to focus on graphics. I choose blue in stead of the dark-red I used on Uturn-Zone.nl, because that can really mess up your website and white-blue looks more professional. The dumb thing was I made my logo after the website graphics so I was really restricted to my graphics. After a lot of failures for making a good logo, I finally made a good one and well you can look at it now every time you are here.

Finnallly with a good structure and nice graphics I had to go work on content, this is always hard to do since I means I have to write a lot. This page was one of the first real pages I filled with content.
